Maud never tries to talk to Pinkie one-on-one and tell her straight how she feels. Mudbriar never tries to talk to Pinkie about Maud and just acts like a jerk. I completely get the whole "if he loves me, that's all that matters, and you should respect that" angle, but you can't just randomly have some stupid character show up out of nowhere, make them the boyfriend of a fairly common side-character, and just expect everyone to be happy with it. The Maud Couple (Episode 3): You know what I love? Repeating bad episodes of the past! And instead of improving on them, we make them even worse! So, this is just Rock Solid Friendship 2.0, only instead of friendship, we get love! And instead of Pinkie Pie only being the unlikable character in the episode, ALL THREE CHARACTERS are unlikable! Mudbriar is an unlikable asshole, Maud not giving a shit finally got me pissed off instead of her shtick being funny, and Pinkie Pie AGAIN is an idiot. Points to Twilight and Smolder for being there to comfort him, but otherwise this episode just sucks.Ģ4. Because we've had to see Spike suffer through this time and time again, and it's NEVER been funny. Father Knows Beast (Episode 24): It's not a season of My Little Pony without the all-too-common Spike abuse episode! This time, instead of humiliating him or making him act completely out-of-character, we instead get to see the show cruelly make a deadbeat random dragon show up to pretend to be his father! He gets taken advantage of, lied to, mocked, and then has his heart broken! How wonderful! Oh, wait.no, it's not.

Plus a repeat of things we've seen before.Ģ5. Either way, I had a hard time picking between this and two other bad episodes as the worst of the season, but this one will land at the bottom because of just how tedious, boring, obnoxious, and aggravating it was. Why are these two teachers again? One is a Wonderbolt and the other is a farmer. And they're doing this in front of their students. Non-Compete Clause (Episode 9): Hey, you know what's fun? Rainbow Dash and Applejack competing the entire time, even though they've been over this MANY times before and it's now season 8. Here are my rankings of all the episodes from season 8 of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic:Ģ6. Season 7 didn't have a 'horrible' episode, and thankfully neither did season 8 (so season 6 having two instead of the normal one makes up for season 7 at least not having a horrible episode)! Episodes like this are for pieces of trash like Feeling Pinkie Keen (season 1), The Mysterious Mare Do Well (season 2), Spike At Your Service (season 3), Rarity Takes Manehattan (season 4), Princess Spike (season 5), and Newbie Dash & 28 Pranks Later (season 6). You typically only get a 'horrible' episode once a season, if that. But, ultimately, a horrible episode is a straight-up F ranking, which means it's not only really horrible, but it's downright insulting and anger-inducing with how much it fails. A bad episode is a D or D- quality episode, which means it's really bad and has pretty much nothing going for it at all. A poor episode is a C- or D+ episode, which means it's pretty bad in what it's doing, but it's not the worst thing in the world. An average episode is a C+ or C, which means it had both good and bad parts, and while most average episodes you typically LEAN either to it being good or bad, it's still just average at the end of the day. An episode that is good is a B+ to B- episode, which means it has some flaws, but it's still enjoyable and worth a re-watch or two if need be. An episode I love is basically an A or A- episode that doesn't have the amount of awesome impact that an A+ episode has, but it's still fantastic. An episode that I adore is typically an A+ episode with little to no flaws. An episode of any show is typically separated into one of seven rankings (at least for me): Adore, Love, Good, Average, Poor, Bad, Horrible. I'm doing a little something different for this.
Mlp it follows me ep 6 series#
I really hope that isn't indicating seasonal rot and MLP is on the decline, but apparently there might just be one season of it left before the series ends (which will be tragic), so maybe it's just a sign.

So, yeah, I didn't really like this season too much. There were a few gems here, but mostly among a sea of garbage. What I mean by that is I didn't hate a single season 7 episode, but on THIS season I had a lot of trouble really LOVING most any episode.

Probably won't put a ton of passion into this one, but something is better than nothing. Still, I do still love the series, so I'll rank the episodes. I've kinda soured on My Little Pony lately due to.well, a MLP OC being one of the worst pieces of shit ever.but that's a private matter. A little late posting this, but I do this for every season, so I may as well get this out of the way.
